EASTERN CAPE 

The historical homeland of the proud Xhosa people; a province with a legacy of British culture since the arrival of the 1820 Settlers. Its attractions include splendid beaches, exciting game reserves and even skiing in winter, the season of World Cup soccer!

Birthplace of Nelson Mandela, this coast line is famous for its rugged cliffs, and magnificent beaches.  Known as the Wild Coast, it offers many wonderful hotels and resorts.  Port Elizabeth is the largest city and harbour.  Malaria free Safari lodges abound in the area, including the Addo Elephant Park and the Tsitsikamma National Park, home to dense indigenous forests.
